Minolta TC-1: Strange Protrusion on Rear of Lens

Hello all,

To those of you who own this camera, is that protrusion on the right side of the lens supposed to be there? I suppose it's not, but I would love a second opinion and some theories as to what it might be. Thanks!

Hello, Im a big TC-1 fan, dont panic, this problem is very common. Cut this piece (w small scissors) and enjoy the camera. 🙂
