MINOX GT: Tiny with a good lens

I have a GT but the front element has a finger print on it. You may well ask why I don't clean the fingerprint off.....??
The acid, from the fingerprint, has eaten into the lens coating and the lens' contrast has been significantly degraded.
If anybody has a scrapper for sale, please message me.

But, remember the Minox EL I told you about ?

Raid, That's the model I have, bought in 1978 and it still works Okay.

Here's a photo taken in Whitby very near the spot where Dracula landed over 100 years ago .

I prefer the meter needle readout.

Generally I too prefer an analog scale and needle but not on these cameras.
The scale is too small and the etched numbers indistinct. The same applies to the XA.
The Minox 35ML LED array is across the top of the viewfinder and much easier to see.

Hi Ian,

Hi Ian,
A few weeks ago, I bought a Minox EL. It does not work at all.

I had to take the top cover off mine to get the shutter release button and the frame counter to function.
I'll keep my eyes open for another one, possibly a 35 ML.

I have the EL and the GT. I bought the GT on KEH for $5 in UG, the issue being that the ISO numbers are worn off, a problem easily solved by having the manual for reference. Everything else was 100% and they still have them from time to time. I just need to get a couple of the Minox battery inserts so I don't have to continue to muck about with other solutions. They are great little cameras. Good pictures Raid.
