So it has taken me a while to get around to posting this. A while back I was in the North Laines Flea Market in Brighton (if you're in Birghton, I highly recommend it, its on Upper Gardner Street) and picked up a lens for £10. This lens is a MIR 1, 37/2.8, and as far as I could tell it is LTM. On the base cap it bears the LZOS/Lytkarno logo, but on the front of the lens is the ZOMZ logo... I assume the base cap is a replacement.
Either way, I have not been able to find anything out about it, so I wondered if anybody could shine some light on the subject.

it is for the early Zenit SLR cameras like the Zenit 3M.
it is not for rangefinder cameras.
BTW, I have a later M42 version of that lens and it is very good.

Ok, at least I know now.
If I had the M42 version I could stick it on my OMs with a convertor.
That's a shame.
Anybody interested in it?

You might still be able to use it with an M39-M42 converter and then a converter to OM.

Incidentally, I have one of these lenses in M42 mount. It's OK. I quite like the look of the images, but I'm not sure if it's a 'keeper'. I haven't shot much with it, though, so need to do a bit of testing.

I'm thinking of getting one to try with my old Zenit SLR, along with a Jupiter 85mm f2 for portraits (which I think is based on a Sonnar).

Thanks for the review link, made good reading (and good to see sample images). I can't seem to find the adapter on RUGIFT; I can find M42 to M39 but not vice versa. Am I being blind?
