Modified M2 No Hot shoe and No sockets

Just finished this modified M2 for a dear friend.

We planned something special and radical in some ways.

It is clean looking, beautiful looking even, and not having used a flash for film for 40 years, I like the blanked off plugs, but the "cold shoe" is a utilitarian device that I wouldn't want pay extra to get rid of, even if I don't mount a meter or finder any longer.
If I had the skill I would remove the contacts and wiring on my M2, and blank the plug holes.

Nice! What happened to the frame line preview lever?

other mods i did on this m2

Preview lever is gone
FL window was changed for a ground glass
serial nr removed
custom leatherette in real leather
lettering on the iso dial were removed as well
And the lettering was filled with grey paint.

I use flash on M and external viewfinder.
If this camera was acquired with missing parts which were plastered like OP did I understand. We are entering mad max territory with Leica parts diminish.
If parts were deliberately removed, I hope they will be reused for cameras with owners who respect original design and needed those parts to restore missing ones.
