"Bad Hair Day" monster.

This turned out to be quite an interesting picture thread. Hope it keeps on.

It's a Portuguese Man'o'War aka Blue Bottle jellyfish. I got up close and personal with one in Mexico a couple years back. I was swimming and a wave landed one, along with its entire mass of tentacles, right onto my back. I was laid up for 2 days afterwards. Extremely painful experience. I was lucky however because of it weren't for the wave the beast would've collided right into my face as it was coming at me straight on. I can't even imagine how horrible that would've been!

..... *shudders* ....makes me never want to go near the ocean again. i really am ignorant about the ocean, having grown up in a desert...
