moo card question

i know we have had several conversations in the past about business cards and moo cards in particular but i have another question…

for those who use moo cards…do you use one image on all your cards or do you use more than one?
if more than one, about how many.

i just ordered some new ones and picked so many images that i will end up with 2 of each image per my order.
got me thinking that maybe i should have picked one or just a few at most so that i would be more consistent in what i'm handing out to folks.

I am using the Moo MiniCards as business cards for my music (djing and producing).
I use one image on all cards so things stay recognizable.

I chose the MiniCards because I liked having a different size compared to "normal" business cards: this way they stand out easily.

I just use one image. Moo cards seem to impress people. Several time I've gotten compliments on the quality and, or the photograph. I think it's good marketing for a photographer to have a high-quality photo on their business card.

the quality of moo is amazing for the money one pays…

i don't think i could pick one image…i'm not that disciplined.

I use the Moo Minis, I picked 6 different images, and often when I give them out I let the luck recipient pick the one they want 🙂

I also use them in mailers, so with 6 I can get more bang for my buck. I usually send 2-3 mailers yearly, so I can get 6 mailers out before I have to order another set.

part of the problem is i might have a favourite flower shot…street shot…still life shot…hmm, i think i just figured out my next order!

As a first-time trial, a couple of months ago I ordered fifty Moo business cards with just one of my own colour images.

Have to say I was very impressed with the reproduction and printing quality. Handing them out when I’m out and about, others have been, too. I especially like Moo’s ease of design using their website, and their classy selection of templates and colour options.

Moo will certainly get my repeat orders, next time with two or three black and white images on their mini-business cards.

Joe: it's entirely up to you how many different photos you use on business cards - there's no rule! I have no images on my personal card, despite it being mainly for my photography!

i understand there is no rule…hence the question…i'm curious if there is a trend or preference out there.

Joe, I used about a dozen images for my moo business cards. They were all from a series of small islands landscapes I did while doing my graduate research. I ended up with only a few cards of each photograph, but it worked out great. Some people would actually ask me to browse the cards and pick one they like the best. Some asked for more than one. It worked well in this case because it was a tiny little give back to some of the people I interviewed and they were also a great conversation starter with new people I'd meet - it was like having a mini-portfolio with me 🙂

I use the Moo mini cards as one version of my business card; one way I most often use theses is to hand them out at events as I am shooting to subjects. I chose about 20 different images on my last batch of 1000, but I might go to 30 or 40 different ones for my next batch. I like to have a variety of images on these; as I hand them out indiscriminately to folks who might need a photographer I want them to see a range of what I can do. But when I give out cards to targeted clients in more formal situations, I givee a different business card (incidentally, that card has no image).

I've used their products for a while now and I use as many images as I can find that I like and want to put on cards. I like having different themes so I can hand people a card that speaks to their style. So if I shoot skaters, I hand em something with skaters/bmx etc.

It's no difference in cost and makes great sense to me to do lots of images.
