More Ebay scams for Leica M gear

I'm sure. UK, France does not even exist. Look at the exact same text and pictures, look at the bad french language, probably translated on line, and look at the price of the second ad for a Hammertone MP with only a day remaining on the auction...
Even the final price of the first sell brings a lot of doubts. These machines sell for around 5 K.
 
I see these fake ads daily, it's more amusing to see other items the seller is listing, furry couches, hats, little ornamental things and then all of sudden an M Type 240 auction 24hr listing with $0 starting bid.
 
Used to be in the motion picture camera business (remember those, before video) and this was a constant problem on eBay. We had to resort to embedding our logo and eBay user name in each image to try to cut down on the fraud.

Folks used to just screen grab the whole auctions and post the screen grab with the "Email us off site to buy it at x amount" tag underneath. Used to spend about an hour every week notifying eBay of the scams, and they were all hacked accounts. Glad to be done with that.
