Hello again chaps, hope I'm not being a nuisance, but after the speedy and extremely informative help I got here yesterday, I have another quest I hope someone might be able to help with.
The camera I know is an Ihagee Exakta and the lens a Meyer Goritz 8cm f1.9. The help I need is in determining exactly which model it is and also an estimate on its value.

Thanks in advance once more :)

Hi,

I think what you have here is a nice Exakta B, Version 4 from 1935 according to these two websites:

http://www.dresdner-kameras.de/ihagee_exakta/standard-exakta/standard-exakta.html

http://www.pacificrimcamera.com/pp/ihagee/b.htm

The lens you have is a Meyer Primoplan 1,9/8 cm, so it could be a so called Nacht Exakta (Night Exakta). The Exakta B and the Nacht Exakta are almost similar except for modified large size outer diameter focusing ring. The lenses of normal Exaktas and Nacht Exaktas are interchangeable.
My Hove Blue Book (from 2003) says it is worth between 375-750$. But that was 2003...

I hope that helps.

Thomas

Thanks again for the help. I've just had a search on eBay, & there seems to be an exact same one for sale for $3000 ! Im guessing that's being sold by an optimist !!
