Looks like Sanyang is doing pretty well w/ their xmount lens family. Maybe two more on the way. A 10 and 12mm

They are just too big... BUT, if you NEED them, they could come in handy. I rarely photograph in canoes or small bathrooms though...

Their SLR lenses tend towards big but the 12mm is designed for mirrorless. Size unknown.

12mm f/2? Of course it'll be large.

Exactly... or really deficient wide-open.

If u are a super wide angle type of shooter or like to do crop Pano for example, then these guys (and their brethren) are only game in town (direct x mount lenses) until the Fuji super wide finally gets shipped.
For me, there was a time I shot a lot w/ super wides. These days rarely.. My speedbooster using my Nikon 12-24 even though it is a dx lens actually will work down to between 13-14mm.. The only reason is for Pano. My 12-24 is first gen and was never the greater optics.. But for the amount of times I have used it, I not about to spend the money on anything better these days.
Outside of that the 21fov from the 14 is just fine.. No need for anything wider.
The Samyang and I guess Rikinon and etc seem to come out of the same factory w/ different names on them. They look exactly the same to me, just the label is different and slight differences in price.
In terms of the looks big comment.. Yep it does but it is smaller then a Nikon slr lens on the Fuji w/ an adapter if we are talking about the lenses like my 12-24 or even the 50f1.4 af-s...
The xp1 actually does a pretty good job of handling big lenses. The xe1 just does feel right once u play w/ it on both bodies. But if u are after the rf compact experience of using a cv 12.. Which is what I think the comment is about, absolutely right... But then the Fuji super zoom most likely is not going to be much smaller, but the optics are going to e much better.
I have not heard anything about the projected price, but I would think it would be around the price of their tele-zoom.

To be expected for the price, but the big question is how far stopped down until one is happy w/ the results.

I must be getting too set in my ways...
Assuming you already own a DSLR and a long lens or two (which probably accounts for 90% of the fuji x owners), why in the world would you want a 300mm lens for the fuji bodies? If you use it, you should really have it on a tripod...and why not go ahead and carry the DSLR beast as well once you pack the tripod?
Sorry, but I just don't get it?
Oh well...

Well, I think that's just it... many of us that like mirrorless cameras don't like DSLRs. And with the EVF, they work similar to a DSLR anyway. That said, I don't care for long lenses either.

I am like u.. I still have my dslr setup.. For me, long tele, means dslr. But I think they have this tele zoom for those that are either contemplating selling off their dslr or have already.
I know Jon, wanted this tele-zoom.. If I remember correctly, I don't think he has dslr any longer..
