More Mju love

Great photos everyone!

Daveywaugh I especially liked numbers 1 and 4. Impossible for me to choose between them as they have such different moods.

I enjoy my Canonets and Olympus XA for much the same reasons as all of you like your mju cameras.

I had Infinity Stylus with a panorama mode.
EDIT: I had Infinity Stylus Epic. Those dual names are epic fail, imho :) Mju I and Mju II is much easier to distinguish than non-Epic and Epic models.

I guess it's like anything used. Some weren't treated nicely and yet don't show it on the outside. If you thought you would or indeed liked everything else about it I would try again.
 
This looks like the place! I've got a Mju I (Infinity Stylus, for our Leftpondian cousins). Feels a wee bit plasticky, but handles well, and is easy to use. It is very reminiscent to my Trip, but more pocketable. I suspect it may become my non-RF 35mm of choice.

I really wanted a Mju II, but they're going for daft money on ebay right now, whereas this Mju I cost me £0.99!

Yes, that's right. I got a quality point'n'shoot for less than a quid. Plus p&p, of course, but it still came in under a fiver all told. That's what I call bargainacious!

My partner has a battered old Mju zoom, which I got working again recently, and realised was a pretty nifty camera itself, but I've seen the results from the 35mm primes, and I'm eager to get the pics back from the test roll soon.
 
Congrats. I'm on the hunt for one as well, and I'm convinced locally is the only way to get them without paying over $70 for one.

I did pick up a Stylus Zoom 115 for a few bucks locally, but no luck on either the 35mm f/3.5 or the f/2.8 cameras.
 
Hi,

My last mju-II was dirt cheap because the battery cover's little catch had come off, a common fault, it seems.

Anyway, it doesn't matter as the thing is held normally with the battery cover closed; meaning your hands will keep it shut as you hold it and use it. I'll pass it on fwiw...

It's indeed a pity that the Mju-II has reached such a cult status that they're going for insane money.. I'd have picked one up if it had been for a tenner or so, but not for upwards of 75,-

Fortunately the Mju-I is much more than merely a stop gat substitute. It's a proper camera in its own measure.. The lens may be a tad less sharp in the corners when it's shooting wide open, but that's about it when it comes to demerits..

Great grab'n go camera.. and isn't it a beauty?

Thanks Peter. Nice shots. I'm just sent off my first film for processing, so I'm waiting to see what transpires.

As for the looks of the camera, I think the i looks better than the ii.
