Maybe not the most beautiful camera of them all - but one of the strangest - A Corfield Periflex III. Periscope focussing (dim finder does not half describe it). Somehow it does work - though only in bright light. The mount is a 39mm thread - but if you stick a 39mm lens on it (Leica thread) it has certain distances in focus - others are skipped!
Late Periflexes are positively mainstream compared with the originals. In the 1970s I had one of the first (1950s) black paint models, with the pigskin covering, glass pressure plate, and chimney-on-top periscope, not the late, decadent version you show.
Have you ever met Sir Kenneth? You know he owned Gandolfi for a while. Now: Gandolfis: THERE are beautiful cameras.
