Most beautiful camera in the world-Post yours!

Cee-ay 35 by berangberang, on Flickr

I'll post one of the few un-ugly American 35mm RFs. 🙂

The Cee-ay 35 was introduced in 1949, by the same company that made the Perfex rangefinders. It was only in production for about 8 months when the Camera Corporation of America decided they didn't feel like making cameras anymore so they sold the tooling to Ciro in Ohio. After a light restyle the camera was reintroduced as the Ciro-35. But I think the original version looks the best.

What a beauty! Great find. I would love to find one like that.

Hi

Please post what's in your mind the most beautiful camera in the world and a little story about it . Not limited to Leica (but what else can be more beautiful??)

I'll start. I got this little gem in a Texas used camera store. It's a Leica M2 factory repaint. The owner of the store told me he got it off a retired photo journalist who had brought it to three wars, and kept it with him for more than 30 years. I had to rain on his parade by telling him that this camera was not an original "black paint" since the serial number pointed to a chrome batch. He was angry at himself for not checking the numbers since the guy was a famous photo journalist. Anyway I ended up getting the camera for a steal and I love it to death. I admire the leicas that are in prestine condition but they don't have this kind of soul. Enjoy!

I'm fortunate to own a few cameras I consider beautiful, but the Rollei TLRs are always some of my favourites, for their beauty as much as the quality of the images they produce. Here's one from a couple of months ago.

The Exas and Exaktas are without a doubt the cameras with the best chrome. It just seems softer, a true satin finish, different from any other cameras. You haven't seen really nice chrome if you haven't seen an Exakta (pre VX1000 of course) in person.

The Exa is one camera I had always wanted, but always brushed off because I thought it would be too simple and limiting. I'm glad that I did eventually pick one up though.

A lot of beauties in here! Well, I can't say about THE most beautiful camera in the WORLD (though I recall Mike Johnston once commenting on that topic by showing a similarly brassed M-something (2 or 4 I guess) like the one in the firts post above), but the most beautiful camera I ever owned is easily my late chrome M8 (late because I no longer own it):

(Almost?) everybody posted cameras from their own collection.
That's absolutely fine, but since I can't afford my personal favorite ATM, I hope it's okay to post a stock pic from the internet?!
