Most ridiculous sale on ebay...

Probably not a legit transaction. I notice the 'winner' only registered three days ago and is already 'no longer a registered member.' I doubt any transaction even occurred.

If it did... Not such a good deal.

What would be the point of setting up a sale with a fake winner? Just curious . . .

That 1000mm f6.3 nikkor is pretty rare actually. Last one I saw for sale was being auctioned off at one of the big auction houses for $63,000. I remember that particular one didn't sell.

They came in 2 mounts actually, Nikon F bayonet and for the Nikon RF's too. Most of the F-mounts were sold to the military and were lost during operations, therefore the F-mount is actually more rare then the RF mount. Interesting lens, but considering the size and cost, there won't be a market except for the rich nikon collector. Oh, and ironically it is one of the few lenses listed in nearly every modern nikon body manual as being unsuable, but at that price, get yourself a Nikon F and go with it lol.

I tried to get a deal on eBay last night for a 25/4 w/finder for my newly aquired bessa L. About 3 min left, I was going to put in my final bid, but a bid for 244 bucks went in. It finally went for almost 270 dollars + shipping. That's more than a new one w/yr warrenty from CQ! 🙄 Oh well, maybe one day.... 🙂

E-pay

E-pay

The thing I hate, and find ridiculous is the Leica or Nikon Rf ads that have huge shipping costs. I saw a few which had 80+ dollar shipping charges within the US, and thats without insurance. My 100 pound amp didn't cost that much to ship. Give me a break, its my new hobby to report them to e-pay. But they send you a reply saying, thanks but we really arn't gonna do anything even though we made a policy about it. Sigh

I dislike the ones who put "LEICA ZEISS NIKON" into the title when it has nothing to do with any of the three.

On shipping, I agree completely. There is a group of four filters that I'd like to buy, but the guy wants $12 to ship four filters. Collectively, they probably weight 12 ounces. What a rip.

I had a new ebayer do that to me once. He registered 2 days before casting the high bid on my auction then unregistered.
