The Nick-on was pretty bad, but like you say really just a gaudy normal camera. Like you I never heard of the first three. You certainly could find other ugly cameras that sold more copies. I have one the Pentax K-01, but it for digital is the easiest digital I've ever used. So, K-01 is my pick for a good camera that isn't eye pleasing.

It's the way most of the English speaking world pronounce Nikon. It's the US that has an issue with the alternative pronunciation.

And, the Simmons Omega evolved abit after that model--Koni-Omega Rapid, any one?
The Kr was available in a multitude of color combinations, I remember playing around with the configuration page for it on Pentax Japan's web site.
Atrocious combination of colors, for certain!
The Polaroid Big Shot is stark but not, to me, actually ugly.
And, the Casio is just "meh."

If you spend any time on the Nikon USA website, they pretty much have given up on any thought towards getting Merkians to prounce the name the way they do back in Japan. Every single video it is NI(e)-kon and not Ni-kon.

I had never heard of it, so I googled it. The thing costs almost TWICE what my current car did back in 2012!
The web site shows more over the top stuff, such as Iphones in the 8-9 kilobuck range and a car charger for $395.00. Whoopee! {twirling index finger}
