My R-D1 usually has my Voigtlander 35mm f/1.7 Ultron attached to it (that's the only M-lens I own to be honest). The next in line would be a Jupiter-3 50/f1.5 with an LTM-to-M adapter, but I prefer shooting with wider lenses because of the crop factor.

NOW I'M SURE : IF I COULD HAVE ALWAYS ENOUGH LIGHT, I WILL ALWAYS USE MY VOIGTLANDER 12MM ULTRA-WIDE HELIAR ON THE R-D1.

I used a ZM21 on mine and a 28mm VF.
Gekopaca, I do like your 12mm photo!

I'm still learning how the r-d1 works for me, the CV 1.4/35 works well as a normal but I'm thinking the 15 is next. All the talk 'round here of the rokkor 40 has me intrigued as well.

ZM Biogon 35/2. It's a great combo with the R-D1 IMO.
I also used the CV 15 quite a lot, but it is special being so wide. Never thought about a 21, but I still consider the Biogon 25 since it could be used without an external finder on the R-D1 or the M9.

I use all my M and LTM lenses on RD1s - from CV 15 to Nikkor 135 and like them all. With some I have to guess framing though.

I absolutely adore the 12mm on the R-D1, I think it's a perfect match, much better than the 15mm, at least to my taste. I use a 21mm VF for it. The other lens that is almost a body cap to my R-D1 is the 35/1.4 SC Nokton, it's so versatile and compact... I travelled in October and only took these two along with the R-D1. Didn't miss my other lenses.
The 21/2.8 Biogon sure is nice on the R-D1, as a 32mm equivalent, but I end up not using it as much as I thought I would. My 50mm lenses don't get much use on the R-D1 as well.

the 12 seemed a touch too wide for me...the 15 was much better...and the 40 also is a perfect fit for me.
i was surprised at how much i liked the 50 on the rd1...a nice 75mm pov.
i am also liking the 90...great isolation of subject.

I actually shoot a lot of 50mm lenses on the R-D1; truth told I shot Christmas morning with the Nokton 50/1.1. I don't have a favorite 50mm combo with this body. I do have a favorite 35mm - the UC Hexanon. It is just a spectacular match for the Epson - even better than the 35 Summilux IMHO.

The 28mm used to be a fave with me on the RD1 but in the past few months I have been using the 35mm UC-Hexanon like John above. Really nice lens with good performance. I even like the lens markings, very clear. My second lens is the CV 15mm, nice and wide and turns the RD1 into a p&s with that large DoF.

Yes, the UC-Hex is great on the R-D1, just wish it focused a bit closer. Summaron 35/2.8 is also wonderful.
I also use 50s on the R-D1, my current faves being a rigid 'cron and Nikkor-H.C in LTM.

I'm quite biased towards wide angles, maybe that's why I like the 12mm so much

i bought a 12 and was hoping to like it...but it was a bit too wide for me. i guess 15 (21 on the rd1) is my limit.
i found the 12 was hard to use, more work than i wanted to put in.
colour me lazy...

CV Color Skopar 35/ 2,5, my "normal" prime,
it perfectly fits in the original epson case too.
