Hi All,

I'm going to be doing some work with Fuji 4X5 instant film and my Calument Cadet. Naturally my thoughts have turned to how to display them. Anyone working with them? How are you displaying them? Can they be mounted?

Any info is much appreciated!

Jim

One of the best methods I found for matting a Polaroid print is to simply cut out a piece of sturdy paper (acid-free watercolour paper) somewhat larger than the polaroid itself. Cut 4 triangular holes (black triangles in illustration) and tuck the corners into the paper. Then position and tape the mount down to the backing board of the window mat. This allows for easy removal of the polaroid at any time.
Photo corners do not work simply because the border of the polaroid is too small, thus showing the corner mount under the window mat.

Naturally, a polaroid print should never be heat mounted.

I found this method in "Polaroid Land Photography" by Ansel Adams (Pg. 167).

Harry.
