MP and Elmar 50mm type 1: first M, first Leitz glass

My new-to-me MP with a clean Elmar 50mm, both from RFF members. Shot a roll of HP5 on Wednesday, developed it (HC-110 dilH) Thursday, and made prints in my darkroom Friday. So if it's Saturday, I should be posting flatbed scans of the prints to RFF, right?

I am totally sold. The camera is a treat to use, the exposures were all spot on to my eye, and the rendering of tones and the range of sharpness has everything I love about post-war lenses. Looking forward to working with these (and other lenses, of course) for a long time. But I'll still take my Kodak Retina II backpacking.

Congrats! And your prints looking really nice.

I too got an exact setup as yours. MP is from Paul (thanks!), I've had the Elmar for some time though.

Personal note to Byron: as we talked over PM, my next target is a 35mm, and looks like I'm getting a v3 'Cron from an RFF member real soon. 😀 We'll see..
