It's been a brutal, grueling few weeks of work getting all my commitments done for Apple's World Wide Developer Conference. And then an exhausting week of the conference itself. But it all went well, the conference seems a grand success, and my work was well received.
I was on site in SF for two days and each day I brought a different Polaroid to make a few pictures with. The most recent SX-70 Sonar someone sent me (which has some problems) and the most recent Spectra SE (which doesn't). People got a big kick out of my shooting film with a 25+ year old camera at the 25th running of our high tech conference. These two in particular appealed to me:
I put them all into a little PDF book for all my colleagues who are in the the photos:

Just love how these cameras see...
Your thoughts always appreciated.

Very cool Godfrey, we have to get together and I'll slip a few Type 667 packs to you under the table.

Thanks to you both!
Hmm... Type 667 is long out of production, that would be fun! How does it compare to Fuji F-3000b?
The pack cameras return results that are so completely different from the integral film cameras...!

Personally, I like the Fuji pack films better than any of the Polaroid films. This includes the 3000b. I lost interest in Polaroid when Fuji dropped the 100b, which to me was the best instant film I ever used. The Impossible products look very good to me but I have never used them.

The 3000b and 100c are both excellent films. I believe the 3000b is now discontinued ... at least that's what I've read here and other places although I haven't seen the Fuji statement. I picked up 25 packs when I first heard that, enough for a long time. The 100c is still in production, I should order up a bunch of that too.
The Impossible films are a bit quirky in use, whether due to the age and slow deterioration of these complex cameras or from the film formulation itself I don't know. Doesn't matter much. I like the way the 600 and Spectra B&W renders most. The SX-70 B&W is a bit variable. Color on all of them ranges from very good to ugh, depending on the camera and whether the exposure hit the numbers right. Predictability is only just average. But when it works right, I really like the way it looks.
Part of the fun of this stuff for me is the unpredictability, so I can't really complain about it.

When I heard the announcement that Fuji was discontinuing FP-3000b, I ordered 20 packs. That will be it for the pack film cameras for me, although I'll still shoot the FP-100c film too as long as its available.

Which SX-70 shots are you referring to?
In the PDF book linked to in the original post, photos on pages 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 were made with the SX-70 Sonar. Pages 3, 5, and 12-17 were made with the Spectra SE.

Oh no, sorry. The Sonar you sent me is too damaged to use at present. I'm sending it off for evaluation to repair. It may be a simple fix, but it might need a complete overhaul which will cost too much.
I currently have one solid working Sonar, one that works but is a little flakey, and the one you sent me. Two standard SX-70s too.

I haven't used their repair services yet, but I've done good business with MiNT Camera in Hong Kong:

Their new electronic flash unit and lens kit for the SX-70s is terrific. I just received one of the first off the line SLR670m cameras ... it looks great! Can't wait to get home this evening and give it a try.
I'm sending two/three SX-70s to them for evaluation. Hopefully they'll be economically repairable.
