My sincerest thanks to all the members here who've helped me over the last few years. Special thanks to Frank, Peter, Dave, Gene, Victor, Jan, Guy, Earl, Edward, John, the rest of the GTA guys, and of course Joe and the other moderators.
And I can't forget Jorge who started it all.....heartfelt thanks.
I knew I loved using my late father's old M3, but with no support I found it quite difficult.....a few years back I posted an innocent question on photonet and was quite rudely responded to by a few members. I was pretty disgusted at the arrogance....but someone from RFF (to my chagrin I can't remember who) steered me towards this forum, what a breath of fresh air. So welcoming and helpful, everyone sharing information so freely, no jealousy or contempt for new members, with a politeness and civility that I never knew even existed on the net.
Since that time I took a college course in photography, started souping my own films, got a scanner, photoshop and greyscale printer, and bought an enlarger and set up a darkroom. And very gradually, in tiny increments, my photos are getting better....what a challenge.
But isn't that what it's all about?

Wow, nice summation of a year and a half.

Thankfully I never really got into posting on pnet, I just lurk and watch them bitch about the "Please help me identify my dad's Leica DBP" threads that happen so often. Every once in a while someone does refer them over here.
I really don't know how I found RFF, but like you I'm thankful I did.
