My 2000th post

Ha, I just noticed that my next post was going to be number 2000!
I just wanted to say that since 2006 when I joined, that I've enjoyed, been frustrated and been educated by many of the discussions and threads here.
My first Bessa R2 led me here soon followed by an M6 ttl and the rest, well, as is never told has emptied my pockets on many an occasion. I go through spells of quiet when I don't post for ages but I'm always lurking just in case someone posts an interesting thread or a nice picture.
thanks all, this has been the only forum that I have been involved in that continues to teach me stuff and grab my interest on a regular basis,

Congratulations, John. I find that I lurk far more than post here too - maybe that's an age thing, or have I just overcome GAS at last? (I joined in 2005, but have yet to hit the 2,000 mark)

Getting over the GAS goes a long way I suppose. Maturing years also means I have less desire for material things I don't use. I still have far too many cameras that see no action. Tools on the other hand, power, hand, garage etc, seem to be the thing I accumulate. Cameras I'm done with, but tools you can never have enough!!!!!
