My $300 gift to you...

I think the price could make a happy deal for someone. I used to have one copy of the lens before. Low resolution wide open and even step down to F4. But I took several very pleasing pictures with the lens.

It;s very well made and really compact size.

Well that didn't last long. Last couple I've seen in that condition went for $1100 and $1300, and of course Kevin wants 50% more than that. Unfortunately $800ish is now a good deal and $550 a gift. Next year a Summilux will be cheaper...

Helps explain why four tires for my pickup just cost me $980, the dollar is about worthless🙄

Random coffee shop baby, wide open. I think it's worth whatever they're asking (the lens, not the baby)

It has scratches in the glass. I wouldn't even pay what they're asking, and I certainly wouldn't pay $300 more.

Any lens this fast 1.5 has reached top price ,
The summilux 1.4 35. Good luck finding one that's not a train wreck
Under $2000
The canon lens usually sells at $800 minimum .
The seller has honestly described the lens and the price was very good .
For .$549 the lens is a sleeper ( an unreconized top performer )
If it was perfect , $1100
The marks the seller described will not effect the image recorded .
Any lens 60 years old is going to have a problem .
On eBay sellers seldom describe in detail and stick to generality.

There is an old saying , the 35 summicron is a superior lens to the 35 summilux , in reality leitz states performance is equal at all f stops smaller than f2 .
The summicron is superior at f2
The summilux is almost as great at f2 however is infinitely superior at 1.4 .
It does not matter if the summilux loses contrast at 1.4 , it's beauty is to
Be actually able to record an image when the light starts to disappear .

Perfect finish, original cap, original case ... very good deal.

I think its a better performer than the original 35 lux as well.

I had this lens before. Its resolution is poor really. For sharp pic, u need to go to least F5.6. But it produced some of my best pictures in low light.

And the building quality is exceptional good too.
