My 6 month love affair with the M9-P

I like the M9-P as an abstract idea but (at the moment) it doesn't do anything for me that my M2 and M3 can't. In some respects it's worse, such as noise, because it doesn't have the traditional Leica slow cloth shutter.

I will probably save for one in case decent film disappears. I think it is reasonably likely that colour film will go in 5 years or so although b/w may well go on indefinitely. But that's another (1000) threads.

Hard to believe that I've had the m8 for almost 2 years now. And the M9 for 8 months. i still like, and use both. I tend to use the M8 with 50mm and 85mm lenses, the M9 with 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 105mm lenses.

Brian, since I can't afford an M9, which lens would come closest to a 50mm Summicron on an M8? I am a hard-core 50mm lens user and the Cron and Lux lenses to me are the main workhorses.
