I've started a blog and Facebook page about scouring flea markets, thrift stores, junk stores, and the like for old cameras and photographic equipment and restoring it to useable condition. I'd like to do some interviews with fellow collectors and post them on the blog. Would anybody here be interested?
 
I have quite a collection myself from thrift shops, flea markets, garage sales, family and friends, eBay, attic finds, etc. I really enjoy the hunt for certain makes and models, parts, accessories and so forth.

I'm not sure if I am the most interesting read, but I'd be happy to answer questions and such if it helps you.

I went from a Diana F+ to 30+ cameras over the course of under 2 years. :D
 
If anyone would like to do an interview for my blog, please answer these questions:

· What was your first camera?


· What got you interested in collecting cameras?


· What was the camera that started your collection?


· Where do you typically hunt for cameras?


· What cameras or gear do you typically look for when you're out hunting?


· What is your favorite camera in your collection?


· Do you use the cameras that you collect?


· What was the camera that got away?


· Are there any cameras that you regret buying?


· What was your most expensive camera?


· What was your least expensive camera?


· What was your best deal?


· What is your Holy Grail?


· Where can people see your work and/or collection?


Also tell me what name you'd like to use. I've got a post answering those questions myself and one where Phothomas answered them so far.
 
I've done similar on mine...
Twitter has become central to my blog ... There are a great bunch of film users on there! worth checking out if you haven't

These are really great cameras! I love my Yashica GSN & Minister III, my XA, and several others. Not to mention my Nikon F's.
 
Here's my post. I'm going to go back and edit it to add some pictures.

I'd like for people to send me pictures of the cameras that they mention in the interview if they can.

Totally awesome. I'll be a regular visitor. I owned many cameras but I can't consider myself a collector as I can't keep one for too long. The mainstays are the one I love most.

I post interviews on Mondays and I'm working on other content for the rest of the week.
