"My cameras don't explode"

A botched attempt at camouflage! It's obvious from the angle of the supporting timbers and the precise brickwork that this is a TOP SECRET and HIGHLY SENSITIVE military establishment. Were it to be destroyed freedom and democracy would tumble like dominos. 😀
Nice shot of a ruin by the way.

Peter

Thank you.

Modified C.I.A. "Stinger" re-loadable .22 magnum pen-gun is cocked via camera's film advance lever. The magnum round is used to offset the diminished velocity as the bullet penetrates the lens elements. Other models incorporate baffles within a telephoto lens which then works quite effectively as a silencer (supressor).
The C.I.A. Stinger (sold commercially by Military Armaments Corporation as the "Single-Shot Survival Weapon" is perhaps the single most popular weapon the C.I.A.'s Technical Services Division has ever offered. It has seen successful deployment in toothpaste tubes, pens, cigars, etc. It may be swallowed or stowed as a suppository to avoid detection.

Listen guy, if it's a private building, they have all the right to come up to you and ask if you were taking pictures of their building. Wouldn't you be compelled to do the same if someone walked up and started snapping away at your house?

No, they don't actually. Someone taking pictures of my house would, indeed, arouse my curiosity, and perhaps be aggravating, but I know there is nothing I can do about it unless they trespass.

No one is guaranteed the right to pass through life without being aggravated.

This very incident happened to me on a public street bordering the St. Johns River here in Orange Park Florida. I stopped on the street, got out of my vehicle and started shooting some shots of the river and the docks and boathouses there.

An angry homeowner came running out saying he didn't want any photographs taken of his property. I told him to his face I didn't care what he wanted, I was on public property and if he had a gripe, call the police. He ran back inside and I guess he did just that. However, I remained there for 15 or 20 minutes and neither the homeowner or the cops ever showed up again.

Homeland was probably a name hatched by a bunch of spin doctors who needed a way to change thinking about National Security to a more positive idea when various curtailments of rights are instituted.

Right Jan,

"Fatherland" and "Motherland" have been used before. "Homeland" sounds like "home plate" or "home run." You know, be a good sport and let us listen to your phone calls and check with the library to see what books you've been reading. Apple pie, baseball, etc. etc.

RJ,

Would that a significant number of Americans went to a library! Heck, would that a significant number of Americans read a book!

Have you ever listened to someone's phone calls? I have - well at least I've heard the one-half you hear from some airhead talking on his/her cell while walking around town or sitting on a commuter train.

There is so much empty-headed chatter going on that no one has to worry. The average FBI agent is clueless to begin with (read some of the Massoui testimony) and the smart ones would blow their brains out listing to the mindless chatter!

Reality is that unlike "Fatherlanders" and "Motherlanders" we "Homelanders" don't make good dictators - we're too interested in the March Madness B-Ball games and whether Tony Soprano is going to get whacked and who got thrown off of Idol! 😀

To paraphrase Pogo: "We have me the idiot, and he is us!" 🙂

Great job on the roof KZ, but seems like you left some structure. Next time, I'd try going with medium format or maybe even a 4x5. No replacement for displacement, eh?

Cheers,
