Make photos, not war.
Well I've been taking a break from rangefinders and photography in general over the past few weeks having felt that I could do with one, but now that I'm getting back into the habit of browsing flickr and RFF again I decided it's time to post this .txt file that I've been compiling over the past few months.
It started out because I was looking on eBay for a new 50mm lens for my M2, and for no particular reason I decided to keep tabs on the prices of lenses that caught my eye.
I later decided to make a semi-serious record of the prices various LTM and M mount 50mm lenses sold at, if nothing else because I knew it would be a help when the time came to place a bid on my chosen lens - which I'm still yet to do, but right now I'm leaning towards getting a 50mm 2.8 Elmar.
So anyway, this file represents a record of the selling prices of all 50mm LTM and M mount lenses which conformed to the critiera I chose, for the months of October, November and December of this year.
Suffice to say I'm sure there were some lenses that slipped past my notice, but I definately managed to included the vast bulk of them in the list.
Those included were probably only half or so of the total number of 50mm LTM/M lenses sold, since there were many which had Buy It Now prices, or the seller didn't have enough feedbacks, and so forth.
Anyway I hope some of you guys find this useful. It may help you get a sense for the cost & availability of used 50mm Leica glass.
