For the past few months, I've been shooting (after work and on weekends) the women of the local roller derby league - the Arch Rival Roller Girls.
This weekend, my paper is going to run some of the images and a story that I've written. (In my normal life, I'm a reporter)

But I've also put together a slide show with some of the images, along with a few skater interviews and natural sound captured from a scrimmage. For my own purposes, I'll redo it in B&W, but the newspaper likes color.

Here's a link if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Tim: very well done! The voices of the women really did wonders to reinforce the message of the photos.

BTW, what software are you using? I have ProShowGold and PhotoStory but have things I dislike about both.

Thanks Bob.
This was actually put together in Final Cut Pro (with the technical assistance of one of the staff photographers.)
Something about the architecture of our current Web platform means we have to use videos - even for slide shows.

LOVED IT...though it made me realize I am such a girly girl
could never 'Do' that sport
(even though I play soccer, tennis, rollerskate & bike)

very well Done..
very much Enjoyed 'the Story'
From the beginning ... I felt Inquisitive & intrigued.
the Dialogue and Sounds synced to the Shots work Beautifully

Thanks for the Glimpse into their World...'Hit Me"

Interesting.

I know an engineer who does portraits on the side. Some of his work is for a roller derby league. Do you have a link other than the video for the roller derby work? I think he might be interested in looking at it.
