Dear RFF Member apologize me for my scolastic level of english language, but i need an explanation.
I have put on sell in classified a lot of Nikon RF items, and i have used the option "best offer".
No one make me an offer, more request but all ask for price and some one was not very kindly and more insistent...
My question is: Best Offer meaning that buyer propose your price, based on his money disponibility, or i have misunderstandig the meaning of best offer?😕

Many thanks
Steve.

Your understanding is correct, Best Offer does mean "tell me what you are willing to give for this". However, I do believe that a _lot_ of people are more comfortable when they have some kind of idea of how much the seller is expecting to get...

I have never used this option when selling something here, but basically you are right - you ask for a best offer on an certain item and interested buyers will/should make you an offer which you of course may decline. Still - I think that giving some price estimate you expect may make sense. Some items offered have rather reasonable price (for example mine :angel🙂 some may seem overpriced. So I think it is fair to say what kind of price do you expect and state that you will take offers.

Mentioning no price and just using the "best offer" option may scare away potential buyers who may worry to offer more than you expect and therefore pay more than necessary.

Well - just my thought.

P.S. I am not a native speaker but your English seems pretty good to me ...

Steve, as the others say, your understanding is correct.

In our classifieds though I have noticed that most shoppers what the seller to set the price so I think you have experienced a normal reaction for RFF. You are not obliged to do so, but if you can list a price for your items I think you will gain a different reaction.

Thank you for asking.

Also, more pictures of the black S3 will be appreciated. This camera has been listed for long on eBay with no sale and I'm sure that most of us here have seen your auction already.

A genuine black S3 is something valuable and any interested buyer would want to see how the black paint has gone through the years. Seems that there is a certain amount of paint bubbling at some places, close-up pictures all around the camera body are necessary for such an item.

Good luck with the sale !
