My first ever home developed photos!

Some very nice shots there Ped, and much better results (IMHO) than the first attempt.

Push-processing was an excellent choice in this situation. I find grain often compliments fog, and pushing film also bumps up the contrast of these inherently low-contrast scenes.

It's also not an obvious choice. Many photographers only push in low light situations.

Thanks for the comments. I intended to shoot at 800 before I knew I was going to the foggy woods so I guess that's a happy accident, though when I was there I did think about the enhanced contrast, so I'm glad the weather was right for once!!

I love the grain in those photos - you could sandpaper the walls with it 😉
Pulling negs out of the final wash never gets old. Once you get into this you'll wonder why you didn't do it before.

Thanks for all the replies. I was indeed using a 28mm lens, I really like the FOV. Seems to suit the way I see things, and on my R-D1 the crop factor keeps it fairly wide (42mm) so it was a good choice as my one and only lens (for the time being!)

I'm about to finish another roll so this time I'm not pushing the film and will make sure again that my dev is at exactly the right temp, it was definitely too warm in the first batch, I didn't think it would make so much difference.
