Did you set lens detection to manual? I’m sure you did, but worth mentioning, maybe.I took my M10 this morning, and I used with it a lens that I hardly ever use. The Summitar 50/2 (second version with 6 aperture blades). I set ISO to 100 and the lens to 8~11 as we have lots of sunshine here. There were very few birds present this morning. I usually stay there about 20 minutes total. It was not a difficult task to undertake. I get more used to my M10, and I get the chance to try out some of my lenses.
I noticed that yesterday when I used the Heliar with a ltm-M adapter, the M10 would not let me use Live View with this lens. I would get "there is no lens used".

I Raid, go to menu - lens detectoin and select OFF (no auto) and it should work

I have now tried out several lenses with the M10.
* Lux 75
* Summicron 35 replica
* CV Heliar 50 2
* CV Heliar 50 3.5
* Schneider Xenon 50 2.8
* Summitar
* Pentax-M 50 1.4.
Next will be the Canon 35mm 1.5. It is less common.

I drove this morning a short distance to Joe Patti's Seafood to continue trying out another lens with the M10. I rarely use the Canon 35 1.5 ltm, and it is an underappreciated lens.

The M10 works flawlessly. I don't give the battery any thoughts, unlike what I had with the M8 and M9 where I had to have back-up batteries with me at all times. I am using the M10 without any half-case, and it feels good to use the camera this way.
I continued using ISO 200 as the base ISO for outdoor photos, while I used ISO 1600 for most indoors photos here. The selfie above was taken at ISO 200 and speed 1/30.

I am trying out several lenses with the M10. No filters are being used, but a lens hood was always used here. This morning I tried out a Zeiss G Planar 45mm 2 in M mount. It is a lens that is known to be very sharp.

The M10 allowed me to take photos quickly back to back. This is not possible to do with a M8 or M9. The Heron sequence above is an example of it.

Thank you Robert. Yes, I am enjoying rediscovering my lenses and using each on the M10. I am quite comfortable with the M10 now. This is the beauty of a Leica M.

Hurricane Sally is getting close to us, and yesterday we drove to Pensacola Beach to observe the waves in the Gulf. Today, the 3-mile bridge is closed )announced on TV).

I used the M10 with the 75mm Summilux here. No PP was done.

With rain and strong wind it was useful to be able to take quickly back to back shots with the M10. The M9 was also with ne in the camera bag for occasional shots.

A great assortment of images to illustrate the attributes of both your M10 and the various lenses. Very very nice Raid. I especially like that sequence of the Heron pics but some of the landscape shots are lovely. Look at all that fresh seafood in the market..will make for some tasty meals. The storm is crawling a 2mph...extremely slow. Take care.
P.S. No worries with the M10...it's supposed to be water resistant
