My Canonet QL19 GIII finally arrived, and I headed out yesterday in the freezing cold to snap a few shots. I had a roll of Kodak C-41 ASA 400 B/W film in the camera, and brought along a roll of Kodak Max400 color film. I was suprised at the grain visible. I'm used to digital where there is no real graininess seen at ISO 400. Also, yesterday was dark, and gray outside, so that didn't help either. Anyhow, here are some samples from my first two rolls. BTW, I also have a QL17 GIII on the way. 😀
This was a test shot in my living room. I bought a Canolite D also. It was very dark in the room, and I'm fairly impressed with the results:
Taking the "Green Line" downtown, I was in the last car. What better opportunity to take a shot out the rear window of the train:
A very photographed object in Chicago...Anish Kapoor's "Cloud Gate", usually known as "The Bean".
Last, but not least...The Art Institute Lions dressed up with their usual Christmas wreaths.
