My first RF

Hi guys,
I've been lurking occasionally on RFF but haven't posted much. I'm considering a Canonet QL17 for my first RF (I have shot a few rolls with my old mans Leica back in high school, which I will hopefully inherit one day...).

To that end, I have a few queries:
1. What kind of batteries does it take?

2. How does the metering work, and is it wasy to use in full manual mode?

3. Is it reasonable to expect that the cheap ones on ebay are fully functional? I really don't want to spend more than about $25 right now...

This at the head bartender's website should answer most of your Canonet questions. I think you'd be very, very lucky to find a functional one at that price (read: "more luck than seems plausible").
