When I got my CV25 Skopar, it didn't come with the finder. But I wanted to use it on my little modified Zorki. So, rather than pay the bartender for the glorious 28mm finder (had one once, shouldn't have sold it), I made my own.
I got the lenses out of a Vivitar wide & slim. The body is from a male XLR connector--for those of you who aren't pro audio nerds, this is the kind of connector used for balanced and microphone connections. I sawed off an inch-long piece (actually maybe 7/8, though it should really have been an inch), then affixed the lenses to each end with epoxy, not JB Weld but something similar, can't recall the name. The base consists of a hotshoe cover and a piece of Lego, epoxied to one another and to the body. Then the whole was painted the same gray as the body trim.
Kinda crude, but it works great, and will do the trick until I'm flush again and can afford the CV.

The Canon connector to the rescue again! Is there anything that can't be done with one of them and a little duct tape? <g>
Nice job of "MacGyvering" a solution to your dilemma!

Great work!
Hope you don't get disappointed by inaccuracy! I use regularly a VUSW, and its finder is far from the camera's 22 mm nominal. I guess it is close to a 32 mm or so. Please let us know how it works!

I'm sure it will be rather off...I had been shooting with the lens using no finder at all, just kind of pointing it vaguely in the right direction. I figured I would just use this for a quick composition, a la Wingrand.

Brilliant ingenuity! I want one for my old and hammered ghetto cruiser Bessa R2.
