Back in 1959, wandering the streets of Augsburg, I happened upon the establishment of two brothers, Foto Bachschmid, on Motzartstrasse. They had little difficulty selling me an M3, accepting time payments out of my pitiful PFC pay, and setting me upon a ruinous financial path for life.

At that time I thought "MP" stood for military police.
