My God, the MP is an Eternal Work of Art!

Congrats and enjoy it for years to come

Congrats and enjoy it for years to come

I bought the M7 3 months ago. Wish I would of went with the MP. Enjoy it, it is an amazing piece.

Congratulations Magus! A beautiful camera to behold! I am one of those people who judges a camera by the way it feels in the hand. If it's not comfortable and enjoyable to use, why buy it? When I first picked up an M3, I was hooked. Everything felt just right, the way a camera should be. Even easy to use with gloves on!

Now all you need is to save up for a Noctilux (beautiful OOF results and unique signature) for low light and a 75mm Summilux for portraits. The perfect compliment to your MP. Don't forget to get the 1.25x viewfinder magnifier. I understand the focus depth of field is extremely critical with these lenses and the magnifier helps out immensely.

Enjoy your new camera. I look forward to seeing your pictures!

I am glad to see you so pleased with your camera, Magnus and I hope you'll have the occasion to take many wonderful shots with it. I'll admit that just the other day I was playing with the a la carte cofigurator 😱 :bang: 😛 Perhaps someday. In the meantime, have fun & good light with yours.

I did that too ... at the moment I thought "oh no, you're really pathetic, you know that" 😱 ... I guess I'm not the only one 🙂
Melanie, my MP is pretty the same as yours; the colour is the only difference; mine is burgundy.

i collaborated w a sound artist for a track on a cd- leica shutters- for an installation he did earlier this year. i'll see if he has a link or an easy way to access that track.

I also agree that the MPs have something about them that just makes them wonderful to own, hold and use. I am in love with mine (black paint) already and if that gets me out the front door a bit more often then that has to be a good thing. I had some issues with the used second body (Chrome) I just bought as I think someone had been messing with it....so have a different second body on the way. This one is a BP MP3 Kit which worked out cheaper than buying the components seperately. I am going to use them both as they were made for and when I am too old or disinclined to use them any more they will make a great hand downs to my sons. So few things fit that category these days as so few things are built to last and have that hand made feel. The MPs have it in abundance.
