@nowhereman: Thank you mate for your precious info. BTW, if i have to be totally honest talking about this iso-pull, i don't like the rendition of the pics you show, especially from the third (look all that red on the lateral parts of the frame). Maybe it would work well for b&w, but colors rendition loose a lot. Just my 2 cents.
Nowerman, your pictures are lovely, but for me the noise in the shadows is too strong. It just goes to show that we all have very difference tollerance tresholds for this kind of stuff
Thanks, guys, for the kind words....I agree, Nowerman pics are beautiful, and probably tollerance is a very subjective stuff. BTW essay "Alone in Bangkok" looks beautiful in BW...
The pictures above were taken on very dark streets in Bangkok where there generally are no street lamps, so that the lighting usually comes from food stall and shop lights — most of these are white fluorescent lights but sometimes there is still some tungsten lighting and there is also a lot of colored fluorescent advertising signs, as well as some strongly colored LED lights. In the third picture the red comes from some adjacent red LED lights whose coloration of the sides of the picture I didn't want to remove when processing the picture.
Giorgio -thanks for looking at my photo essay; it's very encouraging to get a comment such as yours — though I don't mind negative critique, since that often gives one something to thinks about as well.
