Nice shots guys. I can only dream of obtaining some of those beasts. Very impressive.

I have expanded my collection by 1. I am now the proud owner of a Zenit-B with 50 2.8 lens. I am not sure of the designation of this lens, as it is in Russian and I cannot undersand it. If anyone has any info I would be very greatful.

I will be using my preset lenses with the Zenit. Such as my Soligor 105mm 2.8, 500mm 8 and my 300mm 5.5 as the camera does not have the automatically aperated aperture blades.

Thanks Curt. By what you have told me, I have deduced my lens is an Industar of some sort, in M-42 configuration. I have a Zorki, so not setting the shutter speed until the shutter is cocked/film wound on will be easy to remember. Talking of Zorki's, I can deffinitely see a family resemblance between the Zenit and the Zorki. I will have to take some side by side comparison shots of them together.

Kin, you are right on the money. The lens is the Industar-61 L/Z. Thanks for the link. I like the fact that it focuses down so far. Imagine what it could do with bellows or extention tubes. Totally amazing. I hope to get 2 more Zenits within the week from that un-mentionable auction site here in Australia. One of them (both are in the one auction) is a Zenit FS-12 Foto-Snaiper. The other is a Zenit 12. Soon I will have quite the FSU collection, seeing as I already have a Zenit B, Zorki 4 and a Moskva 2.
