My Kiev 6c 645 Arrived, and I am more than excited!

I just solved all the problems and found me a Pentax 645 at a yard sale with 2 lenses for 100 bucks. No Kiev worries for me. Of course, I still stare longingly at the 88Cs on Ebay...

I am now at my 5th day of daily carriage (it is becoming a personal diary :) ), and by now I am more clear about 2 things.

a) The camera is very heavy for me, and this may bring the whole story to an end. Either I get used to, or sorrowfully bye.

b) The basic design of all the knobs, scales, and rings, is e x t r e m e l y easy to manipulate. It is a real pleasure to handhold this camera.

Cheers,
Ruben

After some written talk with Trevor Allin, who maintains an encyclopaedic sized website about the Pentacons Six, he kindly drove my attention to the mundane fact that a heavy Medium Format camera should never pend from the throat, but from a shoulder and across your body.

What a shame for me !

Cheers,
Ruben

PS
You guys of the one camera one lens fashion......

PS II
Still without a single image to show you. Why ? Given the solution to my former basic problem, I decided to purchase a Pentacon Six and start my first photo session with both Medium Format cameras, simultaneously.
(BTW, the mount is the same) Gear in transit.
