The best camera is one that still works!
Scurrying down to my darkroom to develop a roll of film at the earliest opportunity is one of the pleasures of photography I'm not about to part with. Waiting for Silkypix to convert my raw files to tifs so I can meddle with them just isn't the same! 
I hope you're going post some of these Nikon shots once the film is developed so we can all tell you how much better your photography is with film.

Silkypix is a dreadful raw converter
You should meddle with them IN the Raw converter, then save as TIFFs or PSDs when your are done "meddling." You'll get much more from the files.

I absolutely agree with this. Nothing quite like the magic of developed negs as you pull the film off the reel!
