It's Fuji Pro800Z. Wow--I love it. It's like Tri-X in color. Beautiful grain, and the scanner loves the thin base. I have never gotten scans of color film so close to perfect without adjustment. Most of these, I just tweaked exposure and nudged up the blacks a bit.

Canon 7, Canon 50/1.2, Pro800Z in C41 press kit.

I'd be interested to see how it performs in low light ... as in night! I have a five pack of this in the cupboard that I have yet to try but might have to soon.

It seems pretty restrained colour wise for Fuji which I sometimes find a bit oversaturated in it's look ... easily fixed when you scan admittedly!

While you may enjoy the color you're getting, I'm not certain I agree with your assessment of little correction being needed. These appear to all have a very blue/green color cast that needs to be corrected at the scanning stage. What scanning software did you use?

i wonder if this is the modern version of fuji press 800? i shot that stuff for ages and was totally enamored with it!
the tone (blue) might be prominent due to slight underexposure?

I'm fairly certain there's an 800 in the Reala range - I tried a roll last autumn, one pic here: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3287/3044141906_c8de6a23b1.jpg, but I don't recall exactly what it was called.

I too have found that colours can oversaturate a bit with Fuji - I've some shots of poppies which are slap-in-the-face bright, really OTT red.

Incidentally, if Flickr guidelines wnat you to use their suggested method for linking to photos in a Flickr account, how come it never works?

pro 800Z is one of my favourite colour negative films. i usually shoot slides but when i want a fast colour negative for night, 800Z does it for me. too bad i cant find it in s.korea.
some shots from my rolleiflex 2.8GX:

I noticed when I shot some 120 Reala in my Iskra recently I had a few scanning problems ... kept getting colour casts in the occasional image but not all. I'd used a roll of Portra peviously and had no such problems!

Maybe there's a base tint in the Fuji that confuses the scanner now and then?

Beautiful shots and lovely colors! I like the blues and reds. The colors on this film remind me of Agfachrome 50. Back in the day that was my favorite color film; now alas it's long gone. The faster speed of the Fuji is a real plus.

I'm using Vuescan and like the colors pretty well as they are. I generally color-correct in Lightroom. Auto WB would probably satisfy you, faintandfuzzy--Lightroom does a good job most of the time.

Lemme turn on my photo computer, I'll get a couple of crops up.

I love Tri-X but these look pretty dull and grainy to me with a very greenish cast. Could be the scanner or post processing but I think I'd pass on this film based on those photos. Those kinda results are why I shoot mainly slide film when I shoot color. You can always tone it down a bit but it's difficult to fix dullness and graininess.

However the night shots posted by Steveohan look great.
