the grip i bought from rover (great guy - good honest deals) just showed up today and after waiting for it to thaw out i put it on the little r.

makes a nice feeling camera even nicer to hold.
every time i pick up thr r i'm reminded what a great little camera it is, so small and light and compact with the 35/75 combo fitting in my tiny tamrac bag.

now i feel guilty for leaving it at home all the time and taking the 'p' out most of the time.

i could never be a 'real' collector with dozens of cameras sitting on a shelf looking at me, wanting to go out...

The CV side grip is a great addition to any of the Bessa - to my hands, it's a must-add to the L. I also have the trigger winder and I much, much prefer the smaller, cheaper, better sidegrip.

So Joe... on a first sight, is there ANY way the Bessa grip could be modified to fit the Canons... ?

I guess not...

I never bought the side grip for my Bessa's, couldn't see the point. Boy was I wrong. Tried one when I got the M6, now can't imagine using the camera without it. Makes a HUGE difference to the feel and hold.
My only gripe is that with the grip on you can't fit a half case on the camera to protect it......

Oh well.

That's wierd. I have the grip for my R. I don't ever use it. I like the feel of the camera without it. I plan on trying it out with my new L when I recieve it. On the R it helps make the camera hang straiter with the strap attached. I also have a CV never ready case that I find totally useless. If anyone is interested in either of these items please PM me.

First thing I did when I got my Bessa R from a member here was to get the grip. It arrived last week and it definitely improves the handling. I have J8 and an Industar and am awaiting the CV 50 2.5 from another member.

Off to a small camera fair next weekend so looking forward to having a rummage. Anyone here looking for something in particular, just let me know and I'll keep an eye out for you.
