I was just in a Value Village. The had one and were asking 12.99 for it. Lens barrel was dented at the filter ring and shutter was not working. So I left it. G'man please tell me you didn't need one for parts or I will have to drive back there again.

Uh no Frank I just couldn't do it. After I tested it with a battery I carefully reappllied the battery door sticker and repacked it in its box and Carefully placed it on my shelf. I think I have turned into a collector. Hay is it not like 5 AM out there? What are you doning up at that time?

Yes. I'm not getting up 'til noon PST because I don't have to work 'til 2:30 PM.
Too bad about the closet thing. Don't store the camera in it's case though. Leave the case out of the box.

I'd like to know the answer to that question as well, for what it's worth, the second GSN I got from *bay, was in totally mint condition, there was not a single scratch to be seen anywhere in the whole body, the original POD was in inmaculate condition (I'm guessing, due to never been used). Even, the sticker on the battery cover was still in place, never been removed.
She won't be no shelf queen, not for the moment anyway (specially since my daily beater will have to undergo internal surgery....thanks G-man for the repair tip). I'm after getting several compliments out on the street when people see me using such an unusual, old and unbelievable-looking new camera. It's a great conversation starter, that's for sure.

Give your wife a reason to love the Yashica. Use it to beat down the burglar. It can take it. That is the beauty of the GS/GT/GSN Yashica. Like a mace that takes great pictures.
