I just ordered a G2 w/28,45,90 from KEH. Any suggestions on what problems to look for and test B4 the 14 day return period expires?

You can read some threads about it but I prefer focussing with the button on the back. You hear the sound and look at the distance scale readout inside the viewfinder. If it looks approximately correct you are good to go. You can push it several times to see if it comes back to the same place. I believe member Socke also likes this focus button.
I think the following is correct. The most extreme focus test would be shooting with the 90 wide open or close to it. Focus on something that has lines to it. That is how the rangefinder calculates distance. Shoot some film. If your shots focus properly it is calibrated well. Your other lenses will also focus even easier unless damaged.
Then just run through all the feature buttons to make sure they are working. Single auto focus, continuous autofocus, exposure lock, manual focus, speeds, shutter. The dial on the left does a bunch of things too.
Read how to turn the lenses properly. If they have been forced in the past some small electronic pieces could become damaged. Then some of the functions won't work.

When you do a test roll, check for over-exposure.

Congratulations with your new G2 I own one for a long time. I had some time to get used to it. After some out of focus results with the 90 mm I only use the 90 in MF. In MF mode I always get perfect focused results even fully open and close up at 1 mtr. With the other lenses it's always perfect focused wether MF AF or CAF.

Before getting my G2 I've read a bunch of background info, some of which had to do with focusing issues with the 90mm lens, etc. In my own experience (I am no expert), all 3 of my lenses (35, 45, 90) have been performing perfectly, the results are just as expected. Hope you get to keep the G2 and enjoy it as much as I have.

Received the kit today from KEH. At first glance everything looks good. All functions seem to work, lenses all mount & dismount smoothly and focusing looks about right. I'll run a roll of TriX through tomorrow to check focus and exposure. I love the fit, finish and feel of this system. Thanks to everyone for all the tips and support. I'll let you know how the negs look. Dan
