Just to introduce myself here!! I'm pretty new to photography. Not being that impress with the size of the SLR I inherited from my father. I bought my first camera, the voigtlander R2. It arrived in mail today. Very exited!!

Welcome to the forums! The R2 looks really good 🙂 I almost bought one myself, but missed out 😛 Looking forward to seeing your pictures! You'll get lots of help here too if you need it 🙂

Enjoy!

Welcome to the club mkyy! I use a Bessa R2 myself and you will love the camera and it is such a joy yo use. Do post your photos for us to see! 🙂

I suspect I already got infected by G.A.S. for my short stay in RFF. I have this symptoms of increased blood presseure and heart rate, when I passed by this table with two pristine M6 in the camera swap last Sunday. Is that serious? terminal?

Have:
Voigtlander R2
35 Summicron

Need (or want):
50 (haven't decide which one)
24 or 25
90
film scanner
bulk film loader

there goes my hard earn cash!!

I just got my R2 last week. Watch that flimsy rewinding lever, mine never seems to stay in the notch during use. It doesn't rewind very smoothly too, which I understand is a characteristic of the R2. HAppy shooting!

hey mkyy.. good choice on the R2.. I'm planning to pick up a R3A within the next couple weeks

I'm sure we're all eager to see some photos!

It is the imperfection that makes it a challenge and joy to use. Expecially when the results are above ones expectation! 😀

Hi Keven,

I'll be in HK in two weeks. So Where in HK should I shop for camera stuff? I know Tung Ying Buliding in TST. Other than that, any other hidden shops that I should/must check out?

Avoid Tin Cheung, damn crooks. Tried to pass off a damaged body as a new one to me. I also had a friend relate an experience where he returned a defective lens for a new one and found the spoilt one reoffered for sale a few days later.
