The T3 has a great lens, looks like a plain p&s and produces great images. It is somewhat underrated.

I had one of these and I was not much impressed. Pics appeared a bit soft compared to the T4. I have a review of mine on my blog. Possibly my sample was a lemon.

You really need to shoot color. That's where the optics really shine.
Nothing special about the black and white shots to my eye.
I have t4 which I purchased new and used for years and particularly with slide film, it rocks. Sad that it's semi-broken now. Might sell it as I don't shoot film anymore. I'm sure someone can fix, lens extends but shutter does nothing. Was going to have crazy Japanese people remove the lens and put in an M mount but seems like too much of a hassle.
