Fantastic, great idea, and congratulations!
By the way, I know you from the mid 1980's -- either you assisted me, or we worked together as assistants -- or you were on 20th Street -- maybe you rented that tiny studio I had after I left -- I can't place it. Maybe you can fill in the blanks.

Thanks all!
Dan, did you work at Camera Barn as well? I might have helped you with some carpentry work when you opened your studio. Built shutters for the windows, tables, etc.. If that is the Dan I remember....32 years ago...?

Wow. Yes, those were the days. Some were very special too, as well as working for the crazy German! I used to run into Glenn now and then. I am in touch with Dave Goldberg. We worked in darkroom sales and went to SVA together.
Living in NY never ceases to amaze me! Things don't just come full circle, but spiral out and past.
Hello Dan!
Congratulations Keith! Really enjoyed the video

Thanks again everyone. I was happy that they prefaced the video with other work before showing the Freedom Tower tourist images. They wanted the video/images to be more then just about the Freedom Tower, but the ever changing face of New York City and its people.

Admirable in how well you articulate your discovery of a commemorative human project at hand in a neighborhood that did not otherwise compel your visual interest, and in how generously you put your curiosity to work in chronicling the range of feeling and reflection in their responses. Rubbernecking has always been a part of NYC skyscraper tourism, but this peering up at this peculiar emptiness is utterly different. They're seeing ghosts--of the towers, of those who died within--and who knows what else about their own lives. And you show the moment where this crosses their faces. Good work.

I appreciate your response Robert. I kind of didn't know that I had it in me. Age and experience I guess! I lost a friend that day. I was just a couple of blocks away and witnessed people jumping, and ultimately had to run as far as I could when the first tower collasped. No one knew if they would topple over. Everyone in New York was affected that day. Everything changed from that on how we would go about our daily lives.
New York has been my workplace, my playground, my life all of my adult life. I guess I really never knew how much of a New Yorker I am.
