All the photos are great indeed, as everyone has said. I've really enjoyed them. For those of us who cannot travel there, this is a rare treat.

hey guys, thanks again for the compliments.....I will post some more soon.....and yes, i will also post some of the black and white photos as well....

Hey Chris......the climate was awful.....It rained the whole time I was at Kyaiktiyo....It was ok, because I was already aware of the weather before I left.....It's still the monsoon season here/there, so it rained every day in Yangon....but I wasn't going to let that stop me.....then again, I live in Bangkok and the weather is basically the same, so it was easy for me to adjust....but my camera bag took a beating.....

cheers, michael

Hey Nate....my m6ttl/m2....15cv / 28 elmarit /35 1.2 nokton / 50 rigid / 90 summicron....film was mostly Kodak Pro Image 100 and a couple rolls of Fuji Pro Plus II......I also shot some B&W too.....but just a couple of rolls....I wanted to shoot mostly color....

Michael, correct me if I am wrong. From the photos you posted so far, it seems that the nokton 35 is your most used lens, is it?

Hello Vincent.....you might be right about the nokton....I did use it quite often because of the light conditions....I was using 100 color print film and sometimes my 28 elmarit was to slow......I remember on the train I had to use my 35 nokton because of the movement of the train was so rough that I needed to use a fast shutter speed....

also, I would be up at 5:30 am walking the streets of Yangon and there was very little light to work with.......I actually used my 90 and 15 too...actually, I used all my lenses a lot, but if I were to go back and look at each image and try to determine what lens I used......the nokton would probably be the one that I used the most.....

Michael, you are one of the few here (Renzsu and Simon) who faithfully use the nokton to produce great photos! Hope to see more of your work!
