Great people images! I showed them to my co-worker who's from Burma, and he was blown away...

This series (?) is excellent. I don't know how I haven't seen it before tonight.
I clicked on the most recent page, and before I knew it, I had scrolled through the previous 10. Definitely bookmarked for future updates.

Great Last set
Landscape & balloon look Magical
The People's eyes beckon an Innocence and Joy even thougg I am sure their day to day existence is difficult
... wonderful contrast in that one, lightness versus weight, ancient verses modern, secular verses spiritual, and with such an unpromising cliché to work with

This trip was not an easy one, the people of Myanmar were celebrating Thingyan which is their version of New Year's. A lot of people travel back to their home provinces to visit family and most restaurants, banks and shops are closed for a couple of days while the Burmese people celebrate by splashing water on each other and visiting temples.

This is, IMO, the very best thread on the whole of RFF. I can't get enough of these superb photos and they are inspiring me and my wife to head to Burma as soon as we have the funds to do so. Not cheap from the UK but Michael's photos are simply stunning.
