MyFunLeader Contax G 35mm F/2 to Leica M Conversion

Makes me so happy to hear this. I would love it if you'd be willing to share a few of your favourite G35 shots here, I want to debunk that internet myth that G35 is not as good as G45, they are both stunning.

I wish I had a Cron to compare it to ...

Here’s a few personal photos I had on my Imgur using the contax g35

The photo with the friend on the motobike, was the g35 on the Sony a7ii with the tech art adapter. The bw is the 35 with fp4 pushed a stop. The other photos are with portra 400. The shot with the pillars, kinda shows the lens distortion (non existent) lol.

I currently have a summilux fle, cron asph v1, and cron v4 and they all are great. The planar has more obvious contrast with bw film but better color rendering. For color the only lens that gives it its run is the lux35 fle and the sigma 35art for Sony.

The contax are absolutely amazing lenses.

Probably would encounter the same acute ray angle issues that arose with the ZM 21 C
Could well be, however the G Biogon 21mm is f/2.8 vs the C-Biogon f/4.5 so they are optically different. I sold my C-Biogon as I'm now shooting digital and could not fix the color shading in post. The 2.8/21mm G Biogon was my main reason to buy into the system with a G1 body earlier-on. If it could be workable adapted to the digital M that would be enticing!

Got my conversion done tonight. It came out great and feels solid

I've seen samples on M10 and it's great. It's heavy but extremely well made, better than zeiss planar 50 (the only zeiss I've owned) and on par to the summicron BUT I don't know if there are going to be sample to sample variants in the helicoid.
I'd say it's a great lens with tons of character, some field curvature and very good price for an all brass black paint lens.
