I run across a similiar abberations. On is internal lens flare caused by dust particles trapped inside the elements. It was a cheap camera & lens combination. I have also had static electricity do things to film. If the film is rewound too fast on certain "weather type" days static electricity will cause a strange effect. Dust in the film chamber will scratch trough a layer of film. I have seen problems caused by defective developing processes will cause scratches in the emulsion. That is just with film & developing it. No telling what can happen to scanners.

Looks like it comes from the rear of the figure in black as he bends near the candles.

You can see this blue light at the right side of the picture, which flies out from lady confessing to a priest.
The same effect you can see while shooting cars moving on the night cityscape pictures, where long shutter speed creates a bright line of lights.
They are not coming from a woman confessing, check your depth perception - it is far closer to the lens. Do you think there are "spirits" coming from the cars you shot at night? They look like simple scratches.

Pretty obviously proof of god's existence.
