Mysterious shot: film captures more then human eye

I run across a similiar abberations. On is internal lens flare caused by dust particles trapped inside the elements. It was a cheap camera & lens combination. I have also had static electricity do things to film. If the film is rewound too fast on certain "weather type" days static electricity will cause a strange effect. Dust in the film chamber will scratch trough a layer of film. I have seen problems caused by defective developing processes will cause scratches in the emulsion. That is just with film & developing it. No telling what can happen to scanners.

You can see this blue light at the right side of the picture, which flies out from lady confessing to a priest.
The same effect you can see while shooting cars moving on the night cityscape pictures, where long shutter speed creates a bright line of lights.

They are not coming from a woman confessing, check your depth perception - it is far closer to the lens. Do you think there are "spirits" coming from the cars you shot at night? They look like simple scratches.
